During his tenure as the web development lead and web applications architect at Epson, Parallel’s CIO Brian Van de Wetering introduced technical enhancements, policies, and procedures to protect Epson’s eCommerce customer security.
The development team implemented a technical solution to replace card numbers with a unique, cloaked token reference stored by the credit card processor. Tokenization reduces risk to both vendor and consumer with card information stored exclusively by a company specializing in secure financial transactions.
