The Social Good Summit held during U.N. Week in New York City in September was a signature event that drew thought leaders from around the world.
The Social Good Summit included two days of discussions and presentations on solutions, specifically technology solutions, to the many challenges facing our global community.
The theme of the Summit, “What type of world do I want to live in by 2030?” (hashtag #2030NOW) continues to fuel Social Good Summit Meetups worldwide. Sudan, Tunisia, Ukraine, Rwanda, Palestine, Morocco, Palestine, Afghanistan, Georgia, Kenya, and Sierra Leone and Guinea have all hosted international events.
You can join the Social Good Summit conversation by using the hashtag #2030NOW on all of your social networks. Mashable posts quotes and scenes from Social Good Summits to a variety of social platforms: live tweets on Twitter at @socialgood, on Twitter at @mashable, on Vine at Mashable Events and on Snapchat.
Some of the topics and speakers at the Social Good Summit in New York included, “Actions Speak Louder Than Hashtags,” “A Conversation with Michael Dell on Technology, Entrepreneurship and the Promise of the Future,” and “Nature is Speaking. Are we Listening?” with Edward Norton, M. Sanjayan and Pete Cashmore.
